I love OSX, but then again that may be because I have used the platform almost exclusively. I am a thousand times more proficient on an Apple than a PC. 3 months ago

I recently got a new Macbook Pro only because I am more comfortable with OSX. It's what I know. I was curious about Windows 7 because it was coming out around the same time and PCs are so much cheaper, but I never really looked into it. Like the rest of you, I think it has to do with what I grew up using and what I'm used to. But aside from that there are plenty of reasons to love Windows 7. I think price is a big factor because you can't have something you can't afford. PCs tend to be much cheaper than Macs in both Notebooks and Desktops. The new Windows 7 task bar or "super bar" has a lot to offer with it's Aero peek feature, pinning, and jumplists. Another great feature of the super bar is being able to hide it! The Mac task bar is at the top of the screen and there is no way to hide it! Programs just seem to place themselves in the Mac's task bar without asking. These are just a few of the big things I can think of. I could go on forever about the things that both systems have in common and the software available for each. I've said a million times that I have no problem with Mac or Apple, I just prefer Windows 7. =) 2 months, 3 weeks ago
