I have a very important question to ask you... (pause for emphasis)
Do you have any gum in that tiny purse of yours?

I had a chicken burrito from Barbacoa for lunch. That is heaven rolled into a tortilla. 3 days, 9 hours ago
So... I was given the thumbs down on my hair by a random girl at the club this weekend. She said she liked my look minus the hair. Can't win 'em all! 6 days, 6 hours ago

A big Dodge Ram tried to beat me off the line on my lunch break just now. Although he put up a valiant fight, I spanked him with little effort. :) 6 days, 9 hours ago

Dave Spritz: You know when I was in school, I guess the hardest thing was how other kids can be a little mean. . names, and stuff. Do you ever get called names?
Shelly: Like what?
Dave Spritz: I don't know - like, dummy if you miss a question. . or, camel toe?
Shelly: Yeah... camel toe.
Dave Spritz: Do you know why?
Shelly: Why, what?
Dave Spritz: Why you get called camel toe. .
Shelly: Yeah.
Dave Spritz: Why hun?. .
Shelly: Because, camel toes are tough. They can walk all over the desert and all the hot rocks. I'm tough.
Dave Spritz: That's right. It's because they're tough. Ready to shop again? . .
Shelly: I think they make car tires out of camel toes.

I am even more pensive today than normal. A close friend of mine lost her ex-husband and father to her children to cancer early this morning. She has two teenaged boys that will now grow up without their dad--a pain that I am all too familiar with having lost my own dad to cancer when I was in high school.
16 years later, the tears are never far away when the thought or mention of my father arises. It's a hole that I suspect can never be filled.
In a way, Simler is an homage to him. Dad, I hope this makes you proud of me. Wherever you are. Everything I do, I do it for you...
To the rest of you, always let your loved ones know what they mean to you. Your family, in the end, is everything.

Has anyone else noticed that the AT&T; service suddenly started sucking wind lately? I have had an iPhone since the first release day and have never had a problem until just about six weeks ago. Now I drop call after call.
What gives?

Ok, so I got caught up. I guess I can hang on through the end. I most definitely am hoping for a hail mary to make it awesome again. We'll see. 1 week, 6 days ago
Rode Brighton on Sunday, talk about epic conditions! Great snow, great weather, not too many people. Not to mention I was riding better than I have all season.
I had a blast, but my body is mad at me today. Sooo worth it.

Apple is named the most admired company by FORTUNE magazine for the fourth year in a row, this time by the largest margin ever. That's impressive, but I'm not really that surprised. If I could have lunch with any business person dead or alive, Steve Jobs would be my choice.

I've pulled the beast out of hibernation for the past week, and suddenly I don't mind the commute into the office quite as much. Imagine that. :) 2 weeks, 3 days ago
I have to admit, this season has somehow managed to allow my attention to wane. It's so out there I'm having a hard time caring anymore. To muscle through, or not to muscle through? That is the question. 2 weeks, 4 days ago
